7/26/2023 0 Comments Void bastards modeGot depth 1 items multiple times from depth 5 containers multiple times in a row on HB. Haven't properly tested this theory so please don't quote me on it ^^ Didn't count the exact amount given, but I think its something like N32, H16, and HB8. There does however seem to be less ammunition in care packages from what I can tell. I think it depends more on the ship type and nebula level than anything else. Both on the starmap and scattered throughout missions. Resource drops also felt like more or less the same. Even on nebula 5 ships the number would still range from no more than a handful up to at least two dozen. The number of security installments per mission seemed about the same to me. Fewer ammo in care packages (confirmation needed) Regarding these three points. Fewer overall resource drops (confirmation needed) Originally posted by Netsa:- More security overall (confirmation needed) Overall junk drops and amounts (confirmation needed) Enemy amounts, types, and spawn frequencies. Starting traits and gene therapy stations. Fewer ammo in care packages (confirmation needed) Care packages provide less of all resources. Both food and fuel is less common throughout the game. Authorized loot has a higher chance of being of a lower tier than normal. Higher ratio of negative map events, such as gene twisters and pirates. Security stations only work for 20 seconds instead of 45. Cameras sound alarms faster and gunpoints react faster. Ammo that does appear gives less than normal. Ammo less likely to appear, even in relevant areas. Radiation transfers 10 damage per tick instead of 4. Zapper shots and electrical hazards stun enemies for less time. Less starting oxygen, less refill oxygen. Try to save some materials to craft parts required for story-related items, I skipped a large portion of the last item needed because I simply crafted everything I needed right away without the need to travel around the ships to actually get to the parts.Going from Normal to Hard Bastard mode, the changes are: Security elements can be a bother as well, so listen to whirring of cameras (sometimes it shows the *whirring* text as well) so you can shoot them before they send a secbot at you, turrets are best stunned with the Zapper, then it's your choice to either destroy them completely or just run past if you know you won't travel through that particular hallway anymore.ĭon't underestimate upgrades that make authorization of terminals cheaper in terms of Merits, the prices can drop 50% and later in the game I could open every single one without worrying about Merits at all, it can net you important parts, reveal enemy locations on the map and so on. If you manage to seal off every rift on a ship, you can explore without worrying about the pesky enemies respawning and bothering you. Upgrade your Rad Spiker as soon as you can since it's excellent for Patients - one shot inflicts radiation damage on all the heads and they're dead within two seconds.Ĭheck for rifts often, if you find one, try to seal it in the room by locking all the doors, they're mostly in rooms you can just walk around so don't worry about locking out yourself of the route back to your ship. If you can't avoid them, use the Zapper on Screws as well, throw a few Bushwhackers to drop their health and finish them off with your gun. If you can't, equip either Bangers to bounce them behind their shields or if you have a Scrambler, you can shoot them once and they become your allies for the remainder of your stay on the ship.Įnemies like Janitors or Spooks are better stunned first with the Zapper and then annihilated with a few shots from either your pistol or the Stapler (the latter usually requiring only 1-2 shots after upgrading it). In the later part of the game, I wasn't feeling all that confident around Zecs (shield girls) so I tried avoiding ships with them completely. Heart Starter upgrade should not void the achievement, I died once during my run but got revived by the upgrade and the achievement still popped, so you might wanna upgrade that earlier just to have a few extra shots at this. Choosing Normal difficulty will obviously make your life a little bit easier.
